Baby's First Christmas

A Christmas Poem

You have to hold him up to see

The angel on the Christmas tree.

And even though he's still too small

To know the meaning of it all

You watch his eyes reflect the glow

Of colored lights that come and go

And feel him quiver with delight

At every new and wondrous sight.

There's Santa with his jolly face

Beaming from the fireplace.

And from the stocking hanging there

Peeks a cuddly teddy bear.

Bright ornaments and candy canes --

Musical toy and wooden trains --

There's just no end to the delights

Spread out for him this night of nights!

He points and grins from ear to ear

And then he yawns - his bedtime's near!

Dad gives him a kiss and you tuck him away

To rest up for the fun of his first Christmas Day!

I'm 10 Months Now

I'm growing up so fast! Today I am 10 months old. I can practically drive!

So what can I do now ...

• I've been practicing diligently on my walking. Everyday I take more and more steps. I'm up to 12 steps all by myself!
• Mommy, Daddy and I have been practicing our signs so I can learn how to communicate with them. I think I'm getting some of them, but sometimes it's a lot easier to cry and scream to get what you want. You know what I mean?
• I'm getting bigger and bigger. I need to wear 12 month old clothing now.
• I love reading stories at bedtime and can turn the pages all by myself!
• I love helping mommy and daddy reaarrange things around the house. I especially love placing things where I can reach them more easily. Like on the floor!
• I also like to help daddy type on the ccccccccccccccccccccooooomputer!

I love to laugh!  Especially when I play hide and seek with Dad!

With the economy in the dumps, my Dad is forcing me to get a job.

A job that suits my pertinacity for curiousity and able to meet my high energetic demands.  Plus I need some money so my dad can buy me some christmas presents!

We visited a pumkin patch this weekend where I got to pick a pumkin, walked through a corn stalk maze and saw a big scary scare crow! We had a lot fun!

Moving

This is our new house! Now that I can crawl around, I love discovering new things! What's that box over there? Oh wait, what's that thing over there? Humm this is something interesting on the floor. I don't like moving though. You have to ride in the car for a very long time and I'm a kind of get up and go kinda guy. I like to move around a lot. The car is too restraining. I just have to sit there and play with the same old toys.
Well there's something way over there in the corner that I just have to see what it's all about, so I'll have to catch you next time...

Cousins

I love family. Especially when you discover you have so many. My trip to Washington D.C. was lots of fun. I met my "new" cousins, aunts and uncles, and I got to see Nina and Ba again. We had lots of fun.

Blue Skies

Life has so many new adventures and things to discover! I went flying for the first time. It wasn't so bad. Mom and Dad said I did really good. I only cried going up the first time. My ears really hurt but after that I got used to it. I really enjoyed flying. I got to be next to Mom and Dad and one time, I even had a seat all to my self!! Surgery

Hello everyone,

Fish

Well I went to this neat place that had all kinds of little and big things that were moving around. I was very captivated by it all. My dad calls it an aquarium! We were visiting a place called the Monterey Aquarium. Ooooo. So many little shiny things can keep a baby busy for bundles of time. We also went to visit my new friend Ethan in Salinas. He was really nice allowing me to share all of his toys! I even had fun riding on a "swing" It was a little scary to tell you the truth. But I held on!

3 Months

Hi, Everyone. I know I haven't blogged into a while so I just wanted to give you an update. I turned 3 months this week and had fun opening up something called a present! I think I'm going to like those whenever I get them. Anyway check out some of the new uploaded pictures in Month 3 if you just can't wait until my next blog entry, which if you are reading this, it's probably true! Well, I better go keep my parents busy. I think that they think that they have me on a schedule or something. Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. (That's what they think!!)

An Important Message

Another crazy video that my dad made!

So I've discovered this new thing where I can make noises through my mouth and make faces at the same time. My parents love it! You should see their faces! It's incredible how little it takes to entertain them! My Dad says it's baby talk. Okay but if I'm talking then they should be able to understand me, right? Sheesh, if only! I'm still not getting what I want right away. Like how long is this going to take! Well anyway, I've been practicing pretty hard. I'm even doing this thing called laughter. That's when I'm, like, really happy or something and I get this reflex that makes me shout out. It's quite enjoyable, especially to watch my parents react to it.

I think I learned it from my Mom, because I can rememeber hearing something like it and being shook up and down quite often when I was on the inside. It was fun!

Dr. Stone

Doctor Stone is the doctor that my parents take me to every so often. He seems pretty nice but I REALLY don't like going there. Don't tell my parents that, okay! Well anyway they make you get undressed and put you on this thing they call a scale. I was like 12 pounds the last time they did that which was when I was 2 months old. Well I had something very traumatic happen to me this last time. I was sitting there minding my own business, quite content mind you, when I literally felt this shooting pain in my legs. And again and AGAIN! OMG! I've never felt anything like that before in my entire life! Seems like they could give a baby a heads up or something about these type of things. Any baby out there experience anything like this before? I mean, had I known, I think I would have put up such a fuss before I went there that my parents probably wouldn't have taken me. I'm really good at that! ;-) I don't think my parents love me! I mean, why would they want me to go through such an awful thing! Well, let me tell you, I really gave them the business the next day and a half. Boy oh boy did they hear it from me! That'll teach 'em for next time!

My Life Story

Beginnings

So, shall we start from the beginning? This is me when I was born. Don't remember much because it was so long ago. Anyway, I was born on February 15, 2008 at 9:20 pm, at least that's what my Dad told me. I weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. I sure did like to look around! Life back then was pretty tough. Somehow "they" didn't tell me that when I came out that it would be freezing! And what's this whole eating thing about? I didn't have to do anything when I was on the inside. Well to make matters worse, they kept disturbing me when I was trying to sleep so they could do ungodly things! I'm trying very hard to forget about that whole experience. Is "life" going to get better?

Life at Home

Ahh, now that's what I'm talking about. Eat sleep, sleep, sleep, eat and more sleep. This is what I do during the day! At night I like to stay up all night and play! I don't think my parents are too thrilled about that, but hey I'm a baby and besides I don't know the difference between night and day. Am I suppose to be up during the day?! Humph. I like night. Besides it's too bright during the day.

Visitation

I love when people come to see me. Especially since I can show them how cute I am! It seems like I have a lot of family and friends. Well I don't mind, they sure do love to hold me!
